Review & Description
This book is your CliffsNotes for alternative health. It is a health junkie's amazing personal journey using 26 alternative health methods including Reiki, Acupressure, and Reflexology and others that may be new to you like Brain Gym and Tellington Touch. The chapter called, "Removing the Woo Woo Factor" provides documented proof of why and how each method is effective. It looks at the common threads between them in the chapter "Shared Touchpoints". The Who, What, When, Where and Why are explored for each method: history of the technique, how it works with the body, issues to use it on, step-by-step instructions to perform the technique. Certification and/or licensing requirements are also provided. As a personal touch, the author includes her own experiences in using each of the methods - the good and the not so good. The reader receives enough information to determine which methods to use and how to perform them immediately. For the readers who desire further study of a method, a bibliography and extensive resource section is included.
This book is a direct offshoot of the website Source of Enlightenment. The site covers over 50 alternative health methods and includes interviews with experts, articles, event reviews and a personal health journey of the author.
